What inspired you to write this book?

The feeling that the world could be better if things that I and others had written about were packaged in a more accessible form.

What experiences, skills, or specific training did you find helpful in writing this book?

An unusually diverse career as a practicing lawyer, clinical teacher, academic administrator, research director, consultant and software application developer.

What problem lawyers face does Working Smarter with Knowledge Tools solve / address?

How you can get more useful legal work done for yourself, your colleagues, and your clients with less wear and tear.

How does this book differ from other books on the subject and / or what is new or different in this edition of the book?

This book focuses more on the why and what of legal knowledge tools than on the technical details or the current landscape of products and vendors.

Making something reasonable out of a series of disorganized thoughts and good intentions.
